A member posted a couple of months ago that he had 385k miles on a 4th Gen.

That is the highest that I have seen.

The typical problems, associated with a 4th Gen as it gets up in miles, have been documented ad infinitum.

Some 95's were manufactured and sold in 94 so you're both wrong as well as spreading misinformation

My 95SE was built in August 1994 and I picked it up on October 1, 1994. It will have been in service for 13 years on October 1. The first 1995s were introduced in the late spring of 1994, so would be just turning 13 years old about right now.

I have 68,569 mostly highway miles on mine and the problems to date have been negligible.

1. 02 sensor on warranty about 10 years ago
2. EGR control solenoid last December
3. rebuilt rear calipers and replaced pads, April 2005 - my stupidity, didn't use parking brake for about 5 years and seized the right rear caliper
4. replaced drive axle seal a few weeks ago
5. recharged R134a twice (4 years ago, 1 year ago) - added a dye last year to check for leaks if the problem reoccurs
6. oil pressure sensor

That's all!

Well honestly i dont own a maxima yet. I had a 97 but sold it due to blown struts, leaking oil and tranny slipping. Now i didnt do that much home work on the car. I did search but didn't find enough details that i was looking for. But its all good obviously i used the wrong terms upon searching. As of yet i dont know if i wish to donate my $20. But we'll see. The purpose of a forum is to share information and experience. If someone has a issue we direct them in the right direction. What andrei did was honorable he told me to search for any questions than gave me the links in kindness. I appreciate the help.

awwee so sweet

Well, let me tell ya man, this is how this site works. There are people on here that have been here for a long time and have seen some issues (ie: threads) come up time and time again so its understandable that they get annoyed by them and feel like $hitting u in the face when u ask them something.

Then there are those who like to help, no matter how many times ur question has been answered before, just because thats the kind of people they are. This forum overall is a very friendly place. Thanks to its moderators (one of whom seems to have disappeared after buying a new home ).

And then there are $hit heads in between who like to post ***** and cause rawkus for no reason, some newbs that try to come in and rice their way around here. Once some guy with 3 posts claimed to be a Nissan tech for 5 years asked how to check what the CEL meant. That sort of stuff.

Basically, you dont have a max but want one. gees i wish i could find that good thread about a guy from australia who searched for a max for a long time, found the PERFECT one, tried test driving it and realized his 6'5" frame would not fit into the car and that the hand brake jabbed his leg when he sat in it. Now that was a waste, but the thread was useful as it pointed out a lot of the problems that people have with these cars and a lot of the things you should look for when buying one.

Let me look around a bit more and see if i can find it.

Anyways nice meeting you, hope you find the car that fits you...

Again i already had a maxima but traded it for a 1991 sentra that was boosted like my old 97 200sx (wrecked) i had. But i'm looking to get back into a maxima because i want luxary and speed. I want dependability with some speed. I'm thinking a vq35 swap (long long time away though), w/ some boost would be good enought but i know its expensive to get it all done so i'm in no rush. I'm just need to get the money up to get a car to drive around in and create a classy look. But i do understand your point. Again thank you.
