I was kind of in disbelief when I saw the thread title. Sucks to see your car go, but at least you're safe. Hit me up on AIM from time to time, got it?

GL man, sorry to hear. My 01 got totaled 3 months after I bought it, it was in an ice storm in NY. I got plowed into by a explorer going at least 70,( I was going 25-30), and managed to hit the only truck (DOT salt-truck) parked on the side of the road. I had 3 people in the car including myself, and after it was all done, my car looked like a V upside-down between the two trucks. That car saved our lives, the cabin was not compromised in any way, which was a mf'ing miracle if you saw the outside of the car. People who saw it, (cops, firemen, the DOT workers) say they've seen these types of accidents before, but they have never seen the driver walk away, let alone 3 people. Amazingly well-built, safe vehicle. The engine was still running for a good 2 minutes after the sandwich, even though the valve cover was split in two, radiator was pushed into the exhaust manifold which ripped it off the block, and the engine itself was off of the motor mounts underneath the car. My mother saw the accident on the news, and almost had a heart attack because she automatically knew it was my car, (you know how they sense those things) and she scoured the hospitals in the area looking for me until I called her. It could've been worse, you could have your family mourning the loss of you, instead of you mourning the loss of your car........ GL, and take care

It was a "base SE" if you will and didn't have ABS.. Tires were only a few month old Falken Fk452's (sticky as hell and an amazing tire all around).

When I was putting up the pics I started feeling sick so I'm hoping this thread will get to page 3 so I dont have to see them again.

I'm going to an N/A '96 S14.. It will come out looking close to this shortly, that's if everything goes according to plan:

Wow ... you don't think you can save her? j/k ... sorry!

That is a miracle that you both walked away from that. I have been in healthcare for a long long time and seen less serious wrecks be fatal. Really sorry bout your loss mate.

Do ya have a 240 lined out yet? Hope you get the one you want and soon. I almost bought a 240 about 3 yrs ago, wish I would have, but then I wouldn't have my Maxima ... so, maybe that will be my next ride too.

Are you able to keep the car and part it out, or did the insurance company take it? If you can part it out, I would like to have your wheels / tires. If not ... it's a shame that some *pardon my language* Redkneck will make money from it.

Cheers

Damn man, that really sucks. Atleast you and the passenger are alright, it could have turned out much worse. I know how you felt about your maxima. Sometimes i feel the same way about it. If mine got written off i don think i could ever buy another one, it just wouldnt be the same.

Dude, its good to see you guys made it out of that wreck. Its assuring to see that at 50mph our cars' chasis can with stand a pretty stong hit, it reminds me of the days b4 plastic cars and makes me more proud and appreciative of my Max.

Um, I see your exhaust still looks intact let me know if your gonna sell it?

Wow. You are SO lucky to be ok! I am sorry to hear about your car, when I read your post about its/ your loss, I can relate like others on here. I am close to my Max like its a part of my family too washing it more than 3 times a week (just because I like to). Your Max was a beautiful car, and she returned the favor to you for caring so well for her by keeping you safe. My condolences and good luck with your future purchase.

thanks a bunch guys, sry for the delay in pics.. but at least I got some.

Insurance has the car but I'm going to get my muffler and PRCAI off there for sure. I think that my b-pipe is mangled, yet y/b-pipes are a dime a dozen and a pain to take off anyways.

The STS is pretty rare now (pacesetter), but I dont think I'll manage taking it off unfortunately and all my cosmetic mods are pretty much FUBAR.

Tought me a lesson though, you just cant trust roads anymore. You almost have to be out in the middle of nowhere to avoid an accident and then when you're out in BFE there's most likely DUI all over the place.

Wow!!!
Not much else can be said that hasn't been said allready.
I can't believe that the cattman looks perfect. That's amazing. You should send Brian a picture of that.

I read that some of your parts are allready spoken for/promised to other members.

Are you going to start a f/s thread?

I hate to be one of the first to "vulture" in on your parts, put prcai are hard to come by nowadays.

After seeing those pictures, I am shocked that the two of you came out alive....let alone not in intensive care at a hospital. Good luck with the S14 and hope to see you around on the fourms from time to time.
