New exhaust and air intake (HELP) suggestions please

I’ve recently been browsing around the net looking for some reliable exhaust systems that look good, sound good and offer some performance increase, I’ve been poking around www.racerwheel.com and looking at new exhaust systems and cold air intakes for my 98 maxima GLE. I am not really familiar with this kind of stuff I and I do not know if what I am looking at is reliable and efficient, If some of you could point me in the right direction for some good exhaust and also air intakes for not to hefty of a price please help me out. The site I was looking at again was www.racerwheel.com again I don’t know how reliable this is. So please can you help me out.

Exhausts (That I have been looking at): http://www.racerwheel.com/under-the-...an-maxima.html

Air intakes: http://www.racerwheel.com/under-the-...an-maxima.html

Again I am looking for exhaust and air intakes

ypipe would give you the best bang for your buck as for intake you can get the pr clone intake from ebay and get a k&n cone and be good

as for intake this should be good :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-96...28037045QQrdZ1

exhaust if you want something not so loud you can get a pacesetter catback from ebay too only down side its 2 1/4 as appose to 2 1/2

on the Y-Pipe, and you were looking at Injen intakes, they are HOT air intakes, stay away from them. The eBay linked one was a real cold air intake but requires you to cut a hole into your engine bay to fit the piping.

A 3" hole near your battery, on the back side. Dremel works fine.

the main reason i made this was to pick up a good exhaust system and then a air intake, i dont have any money (well enough) to spend on a turbo or somthing like that.

Don't mess with the stock intake or stock muffler. Do everything in between.

I personally like my apexi ws catback, nice deep sound, nothing ricey, nothing too loud. I am actually thinking of swapping back to stock intake, with a cone filter. Nissan really hit it when designing our intakes, too bad they didnt do the same with the intake manifold

Stock intake k&n filter from http://www.innerauto.com/browse/bran...+Xterra+Stanza
Do a couple of hacks to it and you will get going. Really i don't see the diffrence with stock and not stock but if your going all out keep the stock. If your just wanting to hear that nice growl n can afford to loose a little bit of pony power then go right ahead.

If you want the noise, and you are looking for a intake, go with the JWT pop charger. Keep the stock intake resonator, and everything up to the maf. I think its probably the best way in terms of performance.

I just made a thread on my injen POS intake.

CAI is better. CAI piping with stock resonator would be better. CAI give more noise.

When are you going to change your title? You're in my club now

My stock air box and mildly modified intake snorkel are going back on the car tomorrow to return me to 100% stock intake. STOCK FTW!
