Suspension squeaks

My '95 Maxima has Tokico HP struts and H&R springs (installed like 1 1/2 yrs ago). Right now the front passenger side is making squeaking noise when going over bumps or uneven roads. When the car is place in park and when I push it down manually, I can hear a little squeaks. What can be the cause of this?

Sounds stupid, but check the upper strut bolt for tightness. Under the hood, where it mounts, not the 3 but the one in the center. Had a similar problem and while replacing bushings, I found this nut to have backed off a little. Tightened it and the annoying squeek is gone!
Good luck!

Did u change sway bar end links when the struts were changed?, this could be the problem..just a guess though..since this is a common problem in our cars.

Very true! I thought it was that on mine, so I went 3 steps further. The links looked weak, so I bought new nissan links. I replaced the bushing with ES urethane ones, and while I was at it, replaced the sway bar to chassis bushings with ES urethane AND the control arm press in bushings with ES urethane too. Took it for a ride, WOW the handling was SO improved and NO MORE wheel hop. Still had the f'n squeek though. Popped the hood, puzzled look, stare into space.. lightbulb!! Tightened the nut, took it for a ride.. GONE!! Gone ever since..LoL

Do you have two spring insulators installed on the spring?

well, well, well, i see some people don't read stickies. but, the sqeak is usually center bolt on mount as the 1 orger stated. however , that is not my problem, mine is completly shot, plates, struts, cushioner bearings, boots, springs. buying all new and replacing when i get the time and more doh. i am so sick of the clunking at slow speeds, drives me friggin batty.....
