pads that are quiet and dustfree

Hi I need to change my front brake rotors and pads on my 97 maxima. A popular combo seems to be a brembo rotor and hawk pads. However, I've heard that hawk pads create a lot of dust. Are there any other good pads that are as good as hawks and are quiet and dustfree? I do drive hard on occasions so I need something durable.

You heard wrong, hawks are tops as far as dust goes, mine barely dust at all..They are fairly quiet also.

I love my Nissan OEMS. I think my rims only get dirty from actual grime and dirt from the road rather than have brake dust. I love em.

OK, the consensus is that Hawks are the best. Where/who has the best deal on the pads?

Best price? Dunno. Kind of like with tires, I'll look to Tire Rack first unless I know they don't deal with what I'm after (*cough* Falken Azenis *cough*).

FWIW, I got great service from the Tire Rack folks last week when I ordered the Hawk/Brembo pieces. Anybody else wonder which rear pads to get for a Maxima built specifically during 10/00, or how to find out? Made it a good deal for me.

Almost forgot - about Hawk HPS and dusting, nothing to worry about. I've got some miles on the Hawk/Brembo combo on my 626. No dirtier than the OE's as far as I can tell (and I late-brake and use a lot of brake on a regular basis - it's just the way I drive).
