from another members imfo,im quite sure the're simplythe tokiko/nissan oem clone! after hearng much more/the best overall seems to be the eibach/illumina combo or the progress/illumina combo...IF we're talking about the result being a moderate drop with with a moderately stiffer ride thats still compliant, but experts, lets hear more

GR2s do not do very good on lowered car. Not enough damping to keep you from bottoming out on serious bumps, but not progressive enough to provide smooth ride over minor bumps. Not horrible or anything, but not as good as you can get. I would try to find some Illumina's or even AGXs.

ahh too late, i allready got the gr2's and they can't possibly be worse than stock. i got the maxspeed, only 1.5 in front and 1.3 in rear. new strut mounts, new boots. how long do gr2's hold up under normal driving?? i don't drive real fast and i stee r around holes so i try to avoid killing front end.

im interested in knowing how your maxspeed/gr2 combo works out as i was planning on doing this since it's the cheapest route. just out of curiousity, where did you get your gr2s, and i assume you got the springs off ebay. did anything else come in the packaging like parts that i would otherwise need to buy such as spring isolator sleeves?

from what i've read up on around here, the gr2s are fine as long as the weather isnt too cold, which should be fine. And the maxspeeds are closer to se stock springs except lower, but i wouldn't know because i've never ridden them. so once agian, just let me know how everything turns out, and anyone else who know's anything, chime in.

springs, e-bay, all 4 struts, e-bay, 348.50 total shipped. no insolaters, but i think you can use originals as long as tey're not too beat up. i'm gonna call the seller on the insolaters and see if he carrys them which i'm sure he does. maxspeed springs has a best offer box and i got mine for 90.00 shipped which aint bad.

if you plan on dropping the car you need to use Koni yellows, Illuminas or KYB AGXs....stock or replicas of stock are going to wear out very quickly....in the long run you will pay more by going the cheap route now...

i don't think these struts were cheap, and the drop is'nt all that much. the maxspeeds were recommended to go with these shocks becuse they were very similar to stock and have play in them similar to stock so the shocks don't blow out. plus, the agx's are coil over and very stiff compared to stock, but i know what your saying. too late now, allready bought them.

and, i think people are not pairing them up with suitable springs, ( ie., maxspeed have play and will work well with these struts ) and, i think people believe that they can't hurt their suspension and drive over bumps and potholes like they were nothing and that in itself is why people blow suspension parts faster.
