Ok so I just took my trunk lid off the take out those bars that run in between the two brackets. I got the bars off fine but as soon as I tightened the bracket on the drivers side, the other bracket didnt line up, in fact its not even close. when I try to close the trunk lid with both the brackets attached to the rear deck, the passenger side of the lid wont close all the way and its about an inch out towards the bumper rather than flush. This is a huge problem for me, I need some help ASAP!!!!!

 

did you start bolts in all holes first, b4 tightening ne? if not try that.

 

I need a new passengerside bracket, the trunk lid sits about 5 inches above the trunk. its horrible.

 

is the bracket bent? what seems to make it set so high?

 

yea the bracket is bent, I figure I could try and bend it back but it will never fit the same.

I thought my trunk lid was bad with almost a half inch gap on the passenger side.
