Well i posted a week ago my Tranny was leaking, we found the source to the leak. It is coming from the top of the tranny, looks like from the crack between where the tranny is sealed together and a bolt that goes through it. So dripps just come out the top. BEfore i result to taking out the trans and redoing the seal on it, what is the best sealent out there so i can put it along the outside of the trans where it is bolted together.... And does anybody think this will work?

 

any1 got any suggestions???

 

use RTV, grey looks the best.

 

RTV ...stands for and where can u get one?

 

RTV "Room Temperature Vulcanizing. " A rubber that cures at room temperature.

Buy it your local autoparts store. Its used from the factory to seal the tranny but Im not sure how good it will work on the outside of the case. You may need to take the tranny apart and clean the mating surfaces to get a good seal.

 

before i start taking out the tranny i wanan see if i can get something that will seal on top fo the trans......
