My front driver window isnt working the best. It had been working previous but was kind of weak, and now it wont even move the window up, just down.

Also when the window gets to the bottom if you hold the window button down it just keeps going, it doesnt know how to automatically shut off, it's like it doesnt know it has reached the bottom. It makes this fluctuating wirring noise.

When I remove the window, the regulator is able to move up and down (it has enough juice to, but it still makes a strange wirring noise.

My theory is that its the motor, but could it be the regulator and cabling possibly?

If I have to buy a new window motor I know those things are incredibally expensive. Is there any place I can find one for cheaper? NAPA wants $150 for a remanufactured motor (which is after exchanging my old motor in) and the dealer charges $270 for the part brand new.

I suppose there is always the junkyard, huh?

 

Probably the motor/regulator assembly need to be greased.

 

i determined that the motor actually is bad, because i took it apart from the regulator and the motor was still making weird noises and wobbling funny.

i looked and I realized on ebay they sell these non oem replacement motors and regulators new for $50 shipped. im wondering if they are any good.

 

GET THE REGULATOR you will GET THE MOTOR TOO i'VE SEEN QUITE A FEW ADS ON EBAY THAT HAD BOTH FOR CHEAP. THEY ARE GOOD, I BOUGHT IT FOR MY PASSENGER WINDOW, WORKS PERFECT.

MY DRIVER SIDE IS GOING OUT I'M GOING TO ORDER IT FROM EBAY.

 

just greased mine up the other day......

 

i bought a cheap $50 ebay replacement. I'll let yall know how it works once it gets here.
