I am looking for lowering springs and this guy I know is selling his Apex springs on his '99 Maxima because his lease is up. He told me that the springs will lower the car by 40mm and that it is not necessary to upgrade the stock struts.

I was talking to one of my friends who knows this guy that has Apex springs on his '96 Camry, and he told me that the springs settle too much after a couple of years.

Can anyone give me some feedback about these springs since I don't know any other Maxima owner that has these. How much do these springs usually run for in stores? Thanx!

i sell apex springs and i have apex on my car. they are not as soft as h&r's but not as hard as eibach. they will lower the car more than the h&r's will. i just don't like my tokico's, waiting for the agx to come out. they will also cost less.

97GLES, thanks for the reply. If I don't want to upgrade the struts, will this have negative affects on the ride quality? Also, can you email me your price for the springs for my '99 Maxima to: stricklymaximas@hotmail.com
Thanks,

Nathan

you can use it with your factory strut but you should change them. your car will bounce less and handle better with after market struts. i'm waiting for the agx but if you have the money and don't mind the extra work to install the front strut into the factory housing go with the koni's.

i will call apex and get you a price on the springs. good luck

i got the apexs' in my car too. from what i have noticed, it stands a little lower than what the eibachs and h&r's do. the drop is 1.6" front and rear, and i think this is just perfect. as for handling, definitely a world of difference. i got the kyb struts and i think the two make a very good combination.

97GLES, thanks for the quick response. You said that the price included shipping, but I assume that's within the states right? I live in Toronto, Canada so I think shipping would be a lot more. Where are you located?
