so i sold the max yesterday. and personally i couldnt be happier about it. it was a nice car for my first car, but it deffinatly had things that p*ssed me off! like FWD, and the fact that it was an auto. haha...but i just wanted to thank everyone whos given me help over the past 2 years or so...

heres what im moving on to:

so best wishes to you max lovers! maybe ill see you on the streets....(hopefully in a few months, after ive modded it a bit haha)

umm....how does that look like a 4.2?? If i'd have to guess i'd say it's a 1.8t. And if it is quattro then it's even slower. But good luck, maint is really expensive and audi's are known to break down alot.

i know maint is expensive, i dont really care. the main thing i care about is liking my car, and for the past year that hasnt happened with the max. i can do a lot of the work myself anyway so i wont have to pay for labor. but parts are still expensive. oh well though, im gunna love the thing to death so its all good.

and yes, its an 2002 a4 1.8t w/ sport package. and how does quattro make it slower? (not that it matters, since im gunna throw big injectors and the apr 1+ chip in for now [which will boost to about 230hp] til i have money for a FMIC and GTRS turbo to be pushin around 400hp at the crank )

It sure looks nice, but will be a dog until you get that chip. Even then, a lot of 4th gens could take you from a roll.

Still, it does everything else (and that's a LOT) better than the 4th gen. Good luck man.

good luck with the new ride, I was looked to buy 1 but I bought the max

the audi is very costly to mod and likes to throw codes for every little thing you do to it, but they are fun and can be really fast

IMO more bothersome on a new Audi than an old Maxima.

thanks...but once again, it doesnt matter to me how much stuff costs for the car as long as i like the car. and thats not nessacarilly true that they throw codes for every little thing you do to it. there are some mods (downpipe for example) that will throw codes. but im staying away from those mods anyhow.

good luck, there certainly were other options for you if you wanted to go fast..(just swapping a 1jz into my mark III will yield a little over 280hp completely stock), but anyhow nice car.
