i've been hearing a weird metal-scraping kind of noise from my car for a while now and i dont know what it is. my driveway is on a slope going up and whenever i pull into it the rear end of the car (im guessing) hits the road. this never used to happen before but it's been making the sound for a couple of weeks now. i checked under the car but didnt find anything that looked like it could have hit the road so im not sure what it is. maybe its time to get shocks replaced?? car has been running on stock and it's been 9 years.

 

sounds like maybe a exaust hanger or two let loose of your exaust pipe or muffler, get up under the car and wiggle the exaust pipe, it should move left and right but not up and down
