Question: What feels like a flat tire but is not a flat tire?
About a week ago, I started up my car and drove off as normal, except that I felt a "ker-thunk, ker-thunk" on the right front side. I thought, "Oh, great, I have a flat."
Except that it was inflated to the same PSI as the other three tires.
Then, if that was not weird enough, the "ker-thunk" went away after driving it for about 15 minutes...although the car still shook like either one or two tires were running low, or like I had seriously bent a rim (which I did not do).
The rims were OK. The bolts and lugnuts were OK.
All of the front end components were OK...no broken or bent axles. No broken tie rods or control arms. All bushings were fine having been replaced six months ago. No problem with motor or transmission mounts,
So, the only things that came to mind here are (1) a broken belt inside one of the tires, or (2) a bad strut.
Any thoughts?
The only service that I had done to my car within the past two weeks was balancing and rotating the tires.
