I have a problem with ECU
When I tried diagnostic it came up with
11 long and 2 short pulses---Revolution Sensor
Can someone explain me what does that mean ?
What needs to be fixed ?
and should it be fixed ASAP?

Can Sonmeone Please explain what is the use for Revolution Sensor ?

 

According to the Chilton's manual on page 4-27 the malfunction is detected when "A/T control unit does not receive the proper voltage signal from the sensor."

Possible causes are:
1. Harness or connectors (the sensor circuit is open or shorted)
2. Revolution sensor.

I can't find any other reference to the sensor in the index. I'll check some other sources and get back to you if I find more info.

 

Here is a drawing showing the location of the sensor and the sensor connector. The revolution sensor is the "speed sensor". Is your speedometer working? I would check the electrical connector first, then use a volt-ohm meter to test the sensor at the connector (see the next post).

 

Here is how you test the revolution sensor.

 

Can you send me the picture on how to remove the sensor.

Moi drug znayet chuvaka u kotorogo 97 GLE, on kupil yeyo za 10 shtuk u dilera, eto ochen desheva, tak on posmotrel na CARFAX i emu chut ploho ne stalo, ona salvage, i milage skrutcheno.... Eta mashina provodet bolshe vrema v shoppe u mechanika chem on na nei ezdit... esli na mashine est frame damage, yeyo nikak ne pochinesh shtobi ona bila perfect.... no hui yeyo znayet kak silno bil udar...
