Best Coilover Setup

What's up everyone.

I've been riding aftermarket suspension (Tokico/Eibach to GR2/S-Techs to AGX/H&R's) for the last 4 years but now am looking into the coilover option. I've seen some with Ksports, D2's, JIC's, Tein and love the overall stance of them. Also aware of the spring rate differences between them.

I wanted to get some feedback from others here who have any of the setups listed above to try to help me decide which is better (considering the lovely roads here in New York). After I have put them on my 4th gen, I wouldn't keep it as my daily driver but most likely as my weekend car.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, JICs would probably be the "best" out of the box, but a lot of people are advocating shortened Konis + ground control CO kit as the better (and cheaper) option.

Why is "stance" one of your criterea? They can all make the same stance unless you want to start layin' frame or something LOL.

GC/Koni, Boss Chen, JIC FLT-A2, Cattman

he didn't list stance as one of his criteria, he just said he liked the stance of cars with COs

I got the Progress coilovers offered by Cattman, and take onramps faster than anyone. Along with a Progress RSB. The most fun I have driving is the invincibility I feel diving into on/off ramp on this setup. A pure level feel.

I highly doubt that.

+1 for Progress (Cattman). Dampening adjustments aren't needed for daily driving.

theres no better...its what fits your needs...i rock ksports for now. why? they are cheap and get the job done for me...i autocross ALOT and ive finally got them set to what i want...however i really want JIC'S because i dont like the spring rate of the ksport springs. so my ksports will be going very shortly....

I love my KSports. Aside from oil seal problems, they're decent coilovers. I'm REALLY happy with my purchase.

For example, there's a ramp by work that's posted at 35mph. It's a decreasing radius turn, too... so it gets tighter at the end of it. In the rental cars I drove... a 07 Grand Prix... 45mph, and I almost put it in the ditch; 06 PT Cruiser... 40mph, and it felt like the *** end was gonna come around any second; 06 Grand Am... 40-45, and a ton of body roll, tire howling, drama...

In MY car... I don't even hear the wheels begin to slightly howl until 65+. 60 is easy.

According to the G-Tech Pro my buddy has... and I KNOW it's not the most accurate device in the world, but it's decent... With KSports on full-stiff, front and rear strut tower braces, Stage II LTB, and Addco RSB, I hit 1.2 lateral G's all day long, on 40K-mile street tires. On race rubber, 1.4 or better. The car turns and handles like a go-kart. A BIG go-kart, but a go-kart nonetheless.

BEJAY1 has ridden in my car at an autoX... my biggest deficiency was tires.

Teins are probably the best budget coilover.

Progress coilovers aren't adjustible? Why the hell are they $1500?

I've heard too much bad stuff about K-Sports.... they should just sell camber plates.

Best setup would probably be the GC/Koni though. I'm not really into the Max enough to take the plunge but I had Neuspeed/Koni on my last two cars and have felt a lot of suspensions... definitely the best shock for the money. I was gonna go GC/Koni on my last car but I had to sell it.
