O/D Button Not Responding
#1
I have a 95 Maxima SE that Has only 54k miles on it. The O/D buttom has always responded immediantly after I turn it on/off. Well, a few weeks ago I got my system in. A system totalling about 700-800 watts of bass R.M.S. Now I know this puts a big strain on my alternator. But, when Im blaring my bass at nite, my lights dont blink, and BARELY fade when the bass hits. My interior lighting stays perfect. But everytime I try turning the overdrive on/off, It doesnt kick in for like 30 sec. - 1 minute ! And I mean the Light doesnt come one, and the actual overdrive doesnt kick in. Ive even tried turning stereo, ac, lights, all off and it doesnt make a diff. The only time it works is when my stereo hasnt been on for a long time. Everything else works perfectly, stereo on or off. Anything I can do ?
I jut got my temperate sensor reset, for my air filter. I dont think that effects the o/d tho.

What do you mean you got your temperature sensor reset for you air filter?
Anyway, when you say the OD doesn't kick in/out for a while, are you talking about the light or the OD itself? Do you get the delay both turning off OD as well as turning on OD?

Thanks for replyin' guys...This is actually kinda serious.
What I mean is that my light AND the actaul over-drive arent kicking in...so when Im on the high-way and press the o/d off, it doesnt kick in for a while...and sometimes when I dont want it to !!
I still don't know whats up w/ my damn O/D...any more advice would be appriciated.
