5spd swap question

what's up guys... well i swapped my 4th gen from auto to 5spd a little over a year ago but now this check engine light is bothering me lol.

After the swap was done, i put in a 5spd ECU AFTER. Now my check engine light comes on after i reset it every couple of days throwing the park neutral switch code.

Is there some kind of park neutral switch wire that needs to be hooked up to the ecu to get rid of this code? if so where is it located and what do i need to do?

thanks in advance!

lol. I was just in the garage the other day rewiring it. I should have mine fixed today.

Read both of these.

I havent wired it up yet but I already ran the wire from the engine bay through the firewall leading to the ecu. All I have to do now is solder it to the ecu harness pin 22 and ground the other. Ill post back once I do that which would be sometime next week on my day off. hehe.

darklegend06: that shortcut seems like the best way to go however it seems a bit confusing to me lol. I'll see if my mechanics can make anything out of it or if not I'll just do it the other way and run my own wire.

you're a genius for figuring this out! My stupid CEL has been pissing me off for the last year now since i don't know if anything else is wrong with the car unless I keep checking (I've done an 00VI swap as well) lol.

If you need help figuring out the wiring the way I did it, just pm me and I'll follow through with you.

Just give me the year or your maxima.

Just one thing I have work from 4:30pm every day.
