Blown Rear KYB AGX
Both of my rear struts have blown(yes the ride is VERY bouncy). They are KYB AGX. I would send them back since it does have a "lifetime" warrenty but I don't have a receipt or even remember where I bought them, it was about 6 yrs ago.
Anyway, I really don't want to put more KYBs on so I was gonna buy a cheaper brand fron Advance Auto or something. What I need to know is, if I do get the cheaper ones will they be ok with the H&R drop? I would hate for them to blow also.

Why don't you call them and see what they say. I had a failed Bilstein (really old at the time too) and they sent a replacement before I took the old one off.
If you don't adjust them frequently, I would go with non-adjustable type, simpler is better.

I sent an email to KYB and they said I would need the receipt and take it back where I bought them. Which I don't even remember where that was. I was just hoping that a brand that cost less will hold up under a little drop.

Anyway, when I was bought these back in 2001 the KYBs were what everybody was saying to get. I'm not looking to go "cheaper" but less costly.
