When I looked at the aftermarket Y-Pipes I noticed that the O2 sensors are more or less sitting in the open, vulnerable to the elements. Am I safe in concluding that water, snow, and road debris pose a serious threat to their functionality? Do you guys just let them sit out there or do you fabricate some kind of shield. Im nervous that one bad puddle will slash another meaty sum out of my wallet.

They'll be fine, chances aren't all that likely that they'll be damaged by road debris. If you have debris reaching up there and it's enough to break an O2 sensor housing, I'd be more worried about the oil pan...

What about water puddles and snow? There are some devastating puddles in my area that develop when it rains and lets not forget about the winter snow storms....

They're meant to sit under the car in a very bad area. The elements are bad to them, and they're designed to take the punishment. If you have any doubt, leave the stock y-pipe on.

Nevermind the aftermarket Y pipe. Take a look at the o2 sensor on the aftermarket B pipe!
