GAS guage?

A couple times now when i come to a hard stop, my car dies. Every time this happens my gas is low but CLEARLY above E. Today it happened and when i got it started, i went straight to the gas station. When i opened the cap i heard that HISSSSSSS, suction sound.

Does that mean i'm super low on gas? If so,then i know my guage isn't working properly.

i am now getting the Engine coolant temperature sensor code from the CEL. I learned how to pull the code and thats what im getting. Is THAT the reason my car keeps dieing?

The hiss sound is normal. It happens every time I go to fill up, whether I'm below E or half full.

my uncle always said that hiss was a good thing - it means that the system is airtight.

Sounds like to me you need to clean your IACV.
