I'm right in the middle of trying to get the small egr tube off and can not seem to get at the lower right stud/nut. I already cleaned the TB and IACV and now want to do the egr so the P0400 can go away, but the big tube will not "bend down" as instructions in earlier threads say to do.
Any advice on how to get at the lower right stud/nut or I am missing something to do that would allow me to be able to move the big tube so the nut is accessible??
Thank you, please help....

do you have IACv out the way? i just climbed up topof the engine bay and went from overhead with a slight offsett wrenchafter you break it losse then you can just twist the nut off
IACV is off the car. Can, I tried what you suggested and it broke free but the nut is rusted on and won't just twist off. I'll keep working at it.....it WILL come off......
Update: not that anyone cares.....but I got it off and am now cleaning the tube. It's clogged alright..... Thanks for all the good info on previous posts regarding the egr removal.
yea they clog up easy. Best thing you can do is go with 00VI which has a very efficient guide tube or plan on doing this every 20k miles

you kno if someone was creative you could just run EGR right back into the exaust and fab a block off plate, i know the EGR;s "function" but the emissions controls of the 80's were supposed to work to..........right

one question, ok i am a dumbass but where on the vq is the egr valve and the iacv located? does someone have a picture because i think mine needs to be cleaned, i cleaned my tb but still no change in the idle at 1000 rmp and a puttering sound every now and then on idle, would a exhaust that has been dumped before the cat cause this, cuz i cut it off before the cat after the bendable piece so i can get a exhaust put on
