Any opinions on Engine Restore, the stuff in the silver can that you can buy from Wal-Mart that you add to your oil? Has anybody had some good experiences using the stuff, or bad? How many miles do you need before it could be helpful?
It says it supposed to do a whole bunch of things like recover acceleration problems, but I know how that can be.

Don't use that stuff. Just like all those products, all it does is thicken up your oil to help seal worn rings to increase compression. This stuff is only good if your engine is basically shot and you want to try to keep it going a little while longer.

is that what it really does? what about with a full synthetic oil? 10W30 ? will it cause more problems than help if compression is fine
