Shifter housing lens has a blue tint?

After installing my white LEDs into the shifter housing, I noticed a decently strong blue hue to it. Not having time to really look at it, the piece had no noticeable tint to it, nothing blue in the housing, no blue LEDs. Anything I am missing? Is there a blue tint to the lens piece that I couldn't see?

THanks!

hmmmmmm rice

the lens will probably not be clear white, so that is probably the color you see. there is nothing to remove, maybe just try cleaning it. so i don't see what the point of this thread is. expect no replies or some funny ones.

The same thing happens behind the gauges, the only way to fix it is to shave off the blue tint on the back, personally its not worth it...

I was trying to find out if anyone else has noticed this or done this. And how is it rice? Hardly...white>yellow any day...not to mention less power drain and less heat...

Thanks WhiteA32 for the answer. Thats all I was looking for, that someone else has had this issue...

So quick to call rice, installing a front lip without it being painted= rice.

I don't like LEDs. I don't like to see paint chip when my lip hits everything.

Then why you posting in a thread that has to do with LED's? Just to give people a hard time because you can? Please bro...leave the kid alone. And go find another thread to flame in...one that might actually have a worthy reason of being flamed.

?

Whats so bad about LEDs? And didnt you once state that you like Kevlo's tails after installing a set for somone and also say you were thinking about getting some?
If you cannot drive around without you lip hitting everything then why have it?
Why not just raise your car some?

The majority of his posts are to just flame other members.

You are right, I do like the LED tail lights. LED tail lights are a different story though. I think of them from more of a safety point of view. They can be seen by drivers behind you better than stock lights. Also, they are not blinding me while I'm driving like LEDs in/around the center console do.

I'm just sick of pointless posts. Seems like nobody can do anything for themselves anymore. I know some people are new to Maximas, but spend a couple extra minutes figuring out things before you make a post.

I love your car Flava, but talk to me about not being painted. That's the style you go for, this is the style I go for.

I spent 5 hours workin on the max yesterday on the interior alone...I spent my time. I was trying to figure out what happened, whether there was a reason to the blue hue taht I couldnt see.

Oh, and I dont like LEDs blinding me while driving either...thats why I did it right and diffused them...

Mines CF,its true purpose in the aftermarket scene is for its look therefore no need to piant it.
If I had intention of painting it, I would have just gone with Ionics FRP kit, and a FG trunk and hood for the weight savings.
Your the one screamer ricer at everyone. I understand rocking the unpainted poly lip may be your style but I see lots of ricers who buy kits, slap them on and leave them unpainted, so unpainted kits to me are rice.

Technically it's not painted, but it is the same color as my paint. Many other people do it. JSutter does it, many in NYC have it. At least my side skirts are painted.

Ok, sorry I even started this thread. I figured someone out there would be willing to help me out with an issue that I was confused about. And someone nice enough did. Done. Over.

Flav, I agree with you, on unpainted kits = rice. However, its his opinion, and we have ours. NO sense in arguing over opinions, you'll never get anywhere...at least its not a primered kit on a red car...thats the end guys, leave it at that please and dont argue. Thanks.
