HELP!!! New strut went bad after 5 mins Twice.....WHY??

So basically i changed all 4 struts on my car on saturday, and when i was on my way home from closing the garage i hear this clunking noise within 2 mins in the back. The next morning on my way to open the garage, i lift the car up and the right side rear strut went bad...WTF??? So i thought to myself that maybe it was defective..but no. I put in another strut today and within five minutes of driving i hear the same noise. I never had a problem like this since i've bought the car and changed the suspension twice. So before i call up the parts store, and tell him that it went bad again...what should i have checked out? I asked a friend of mines, and he had said to check for frame damage, but everything looks perfectly fine as ive had it checked out before.

BTW they are Monroe struts with stock springs, didnt want that stiff ride with the kyb agx's anymore.

heres a tip. the noise isnt a 'bad strut'.

check the the mount, and the way the spring is seated in the strut...make sure its assembled correctly.

agree no strut can go bad so fast no matter how cheap they are that must be either a improperly tight mount like the above guy say a sprin no seat correctly or the strut loose somehow

It's making the same noise as the first one, and the car feels unbalanced. Also the right rear of the car is shaking and constantly moving up and down. I will have it checked today as soon as i get to my garage.

But what are the odds of the same side strut going bad? As i've said, i've never had a problem like this with the other two times ive changed the suspension.

i believe it could be the shock mounting aka top mount of the assembly. it usually makes a clunking noise. i had mine replaced recently.
