Newbie To Suspension Stuff

Just ordered some lowering springs I think there called vortex or something.. Not bad for the price. But Im running new OEM Struts. Now I know what your gonna say your gonna need aftermarket struts for the springs. BUt there brand new does it matter? Its only gonna be lowered about 1.4 inchs all the way around. I called a few shops most said they dont do it but one said they will but then said do you have struts i said no they said they wont do it then.. Cause it wont reach or something is this tru?

i bought kyb-gr2's because i wanted a different ride than stock. if you've alltready purchased the shocks i would see if you can take them back. i got maxspeed springs cause they're supposed to ride like stock, just a little stiffer. i also would suggest the boots, bearing plates, and cushioner bearings as well as the spring isolaters. good luck

The stock struts were not ment to be under constant load due to being lowered. I have heard of people doing it, some say they are fine, while others blow struts 2 months after the install. If you want to lower your car, i would say hold onto the springs and when you are able, get performance struts.

If your gonna lower the car you may as well do it properly otherwise you will get problems down the road. On that note good decision on waiting until you get some performance struts!!!
