TCS, SLIP and CEL!!

Hey, I was driving to work this morning, and my TCS, SLIP and CEL lights came on after a brief stop to dodge some turtles in the road. The RPMs dropped sharply and then it returned to normal, minus the three lights that stayed on...WHAT HAPPENED???

i turned the car off and turned back on, and the lights have been gone since.

id like to know what made these lights turn on.

i had that problem a year ago. yes you can make the lights go off by cycling the key a few times, however, you may want to get your ignition coils checked out. i ended up replacing all 8 of mine over $800 bc i wasn't sure which one was bad and it is too much of a hassle to test each one. it requires getting used ones that you arent sure even work from a junkyard and whatnot and testing each individually. definitely get your car coded as a local nissan dealership. if the code reads engine misfire, then one or more of your ignition coils may be bad. hope that helps.

Sweet, you got the V8 trim? And a CONSULT-II based code reading at the dealer will take you for either an hour of labor or a diag fee, as opposed to reading the codes yourself or going to an auto parts store, which are both free.

if i remember correctly, i read somewhere that a k&n drop in air filter can affect the maf's in our cars?
is this correct, should i go back to a oem air filter?
and if i go back to the oem filter, will the maf be ok?, or will that have to be replaced?

thanks for the help
