How many of you guys took off your front license plates? I did 10 minutes ago and it makes the max look effing sweet and aggressive, should i be worried about getting pulled over? (it's illegal in new jersey)

You know what else is illegal in New Jersey? Having a trim piece around your rear license plate. I got pulled over for speeding down I95 last year and the cop let me off with just a ticket for having a dealer border around my plate since I was from Connecticut and on my way to a bar mitzvah ($42 instead of $150). I don't know what's up with New Jersey.

RE: Be worried...

You probably will be pulled over for no front plate. However, there is this guy with a sweet looking white maxima (no I dont remeber his name), and he put his plate on the lower lip of his car. It is tilted back a little and looks awesome. He has a white Maxima with a white grill and it looks sweet. Just trying to help.

I have my front plate removed and its illegal in Ny. when you get pulled over have it in your car somewhere and tell the cop that your waiting for new brackets to come in because someone bumped you rcar and they broke. it works for me all the time unless of course its the same officer. but thats my recomendation

good advice

im gonna keep the license plate in my trunk and leave the bracket at home and tell the cop that it got cracked or the screws got stripped something. i was thinking that if i put the license plate on my dash facing up it will be even easier to notice that my plate isn't where it should be. i love the way it looks now and im gonna leave it till i get pulled over for it. thanks for posting guys.

Re: good advice

im from texas and we are supposed to havefront liscence plates, when i did my bumper conversion i een had the holder for the plate cut out, so i dont have that plastic piece there at all, i simply put my plate on the very front of the windshield on the ps and stuck it on with 2 suction cups, looks great

NY law is that the plate must be permanently attached to front of car. Leaving plate on dash will get yoyu a ticket. If nabbed when parked it's just a parking ticket.

In L.A., they're starting to issue tickets. So many drivers run red lights, we have cameras at a lot of street corners. I've seen the pictures. Most of them are of the front of the cars. Without a front plate, they can't mail you your ticket. So L.A. has announced that drivers without front plates, "Beware."
