My sun roof just broke down and I was wondering How can I fix my self. I found a link here but the Picture don't seem to work. Have anyone had this problem? how did u fix it?
My sunroof Won't open no more. It looks like its out place.

 

It might be the motor, or it fell off the lining with the motor just see if you can realign it to its tracks if you said that its out of place. Or it could be your motor just burnt out.

You can buy the rebuild kit from the dealer-shouldn't run you more than about $60. for it. You WILL have to remove the headliner. Pretty much all the interior has to come out(it'll be a lot easier to work on the sunroof if you do that), plus the pillar trim stuff as well. There used to be a sunroof writeup in the stickies, but I don't know if it's still there or not...

- I don't think the link works anymore of the pictures. It is a very old thread. I am unsure if he (Deezo) is even around anymore. I would use the free search to maybe find some more info. Maybe PM him and see if he responds, maybe he still has the pix.

 

Most of the pics showed what to take out. There weren't many closeups of the sunroof mechanism itself. The kit does come with directions. If you're even half handy, you can do most of it yourself. Taking out the interior is not as bad as it may seem. It does help to have two people tho. Just go slow and take your own pics if you can.
