To people who want to do a 5speed conversion
#41
The AUTO ECU does not have to be bypassed... As mentioned above... The ECU has no dealings with the mechanical driven process of 5-speed.. Though if you don't bypass the OD button you will set you check-engine light on.

- Are there any special brackets that need to be purchased?
Manula tranny has a differnet motor mount.. (if you buy a used tranny they might give it for free)
- Is there an intermediate shaft and does it have to be replaced with one from a 5spd?
What is this item?????
- I assume when you say "driveshafts", you mean the halfshafts/driveaxles?
Yes halfshafts.. They are different in a 5speed
- How is the clutch pedal affixed to the floorboard?
You drill the hole for the master cylinder (gives you 2 screws) and there is one factory unused hole already there
- Are there different clutch kits for different years and differen trannys? ie. GXE Tranny has x-amount of splines, therefore needs x-clutch kit, whereas SE tranny has x-amount of splines, there needs a different x-clutch kit?
To my understanding all are interchangable
- Do the hub/knuckles have to be modified to work with the manual driveaxles?
Nope this side is the same the holes in the tranny are why you need to change the shafts
