Huh? Fuel Pressure Gauge maxing out?
Huh? Fuel Pressure Gauge maxing out?
I've got the Autometer Phantom fuel pressure gauge and it would work fine for a short while after starting the car first thing in the morning, reading at 34psi. Once I got up to hwy speed my needle would hit beyond the 100psi mark and stay there. Once I park the car and turn the engine off it returns not to 0psi but to 34psi!
Now a couple of days ago the fuel line disconnected from my fuel rail adapter and I got disabled for a little while at an intersection blocking one lane during the morning rush hour. Before I found that out I tried cranking the engine a few times and created a little river of gas on the road.
Now would my earlier fuel line problem have caused the gauge sender to get fawked up?

Thanks for the suggestion mtrai760. The lines going into the back of the gauge look normal but yeah I'll have to have another look at the lines of the sending gauge more closely tonight.
One thing I've noticed this morning is that the idle isn't as consistantly smooth as it was before and I would get the feeling like the engine's thinking of stalling. Also noticed that my egt temp would slightly drop to 750 from 800 when that happens. I'm really off to a good start this week.
