Crank but doesn't start, part 2
Crank but doesn't start, part 2
On the previous post, I stated that my '95 Maxima cranks but doesn't start since Tuesday night (Tuesday morning, the car started fine). My mechanic co-worker suspected the crank sensor. I had the car towed to a local shop since I live 50 miles out of Long Island but the mechanic couldn't diagnosed anything because the car started right up. They think its the computer problem because now if the car doesnt start, I'll just need to tap the computer on the driver-side, right next to the gas pedal, while turning the ignition. I need some serious answer to the problem. Please help guys!
I would be taking the computer out of the car and checking for broken or cold soldered pins going into the computer. Just make sure you are grounded properly so not to cause any static electricity. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, have some one else do it for you that has experience.
