Easy brake pad questions

I can't remember how long it's been since I changed my brakepads.. I think it's been like a year and a half. What's the normal amount of time they should last for the standard pads?

Don't they typically make some squeaking noise when they're wearing down? One of my fronts was squeaking for a couple days, but then it stopped. That was back in June.

Depends on how you drive the car. If you are aggresive, not as long as the grandmas out there. On average 40,000mi. I've seen people run them 80k and I've seen them worn out at 15k with no abnormal cause. If your in doubt, get them checked.

yeah just get the mech to take the wheel off and look, sometimes if u can see the outer pad thru the rim it might look fine, but if ur caliper pins have rusted and are no longer moving properly the inner pad may have more wear that u wount see.

it all depends on how u drive and not all pads have wear indicators from what i heard
