My buddies dad owns an old airport that has been shut down for a few years here in Colorado. So every once in a while a few of us get together and race (on the runway) its almost as good as just going to the track. Anyway we were talking to this guy in town that drives a 99 Mustang GT with Intake and Exhaust. We were telling him about this little airport and how we race there sometimes. To make a long story short he called up a couple of his buddies and we went out there to race. ZWW21 from the .org was out there with me too, so that was the only other maxima. Two of the guys friends show up and they both drive Mustangs. One was also a 99 GT and one was a 99 Mustang Auto V6. These guys were makin fun of our Maxima's so much. So ZWW21 races the Auto V6 and kills him. Probably 3 car lengths. But then he gets SMOKED by one of the GT's probably 5 car lengths. So I went to race the other GT. Right off the line he pulled about a car and a half on be but around 65 I sprayed a 75 shot of ZEX and flew by him. I loved the look on his face after the race. He couldnt believe that he had just lost to a Maxima. The funny part is I didnt tell him I had the ZEX and he was to dumb to realize it. So he thought he just got beat by a Maxima with Intake and y-pipe,exhaust. It was pretty funny. Sorry for the long post, I just felt like telling this story. Take Care

Yeah this was a good and a bad night for me. It was sweet watching you beat that GT but I was so fricken embarrassed after I raced the other one. Those things have some *****!!! Hey atleast I beat the Auto V6, If I would have lost to that thing I would have put my car to rest. lol, He did have a very funny look on his face afterwards. Well have to do that again sometime soon, ill start looking for potential victims. Later

Beautiful job with the 'special sauce'. Nothing like someone expecting to win, then losing and he can't figure out why. I love the concept of an abandoned runway, kind wish there was one around here in CT.

It is really convienient to have the runway. We cant get busted either because it is private property, and it is 20 miles outside of town. It was really fun to beat that GT, I figured he would have guessed that I had some sort of Nitrous, but he didnt pick up on it.

Medicsonic, your car is sweet!!! What kind of rims do you have?
Take Care

that's such a cool story! I wish I had an old airport. My uncle is a corperate pilot and he used to race his old 280Z down the runway because he know the owners.

oh... as long as you're not drinking or doing anything really stupid then I think it cool for you to do that stuff and make sure you tell us about all of your stories.

Oh, and thanks again for seeing what the price will be for me.
