what gives? I got the LSS y-pipe, and and a Magnaflow catback and it is not throaty or deep enough for me. I don't want it too be too droney either cause the last thing I need is for it too drown out any of my audio. I also sounds kinda wispy too... I had a bad resinator on the pipe as well so I had him replace the B-pipe without a Res and my stock Cat...

I also think I kinda got overcharged. He also put on a b-pipe on (that was Pressure bend btw ) and Alumni zed with a Magnaflow exhaust and a huge nice looking chrome tip. He carries a 2 year warranty with himself and he is a really cool guy and dead honest with everything so I went with him...

but Do u think $350 was a bit steep?

not to mention how quiet it sounds?

I will give an example... I want mine to sound like this....am I missing something?

NOT this... which is does somewhat sound like... Not sure what his sounds like but mine seems to sound pretty good at high RPMS with a load though....

I will try to get an Audio clip up of mine later on....

$350 does seem high, I had a custom catback crush-bent and welded up (along with my muffler) for $110, plus the $40 for the Super Turbo from Advance.

I had a magnaflow straight through with a LLS y&b pipe and it was loud and deep... very very loud, i felt sorry for anyone in traffic around me with the windows down. Thank god i got rid of that horrid muffler.

I had 2 resonators put on to chill my magnaflow a bit. Now its good. Nice to hear to make shifting fun but not annoying and ricey loud. =]

pressure bends and magnaflow mufflers =

as far as the price, how much is too much for crap? shoulda ordered a b-pipe with your y. at least you got a warranty.

well I am pretty pissed about it with this guy, cause not only are there leaks but he gave me a muffler on a muffler with a muffler inside that muffler lol...

I mean it does have a throaty sound, but VERY VERY quiet. U cannot hear it in the car at idle.... I want really throaty sound...

cause basically he just added a muffler. the piping was not an upgrade. but if your lookin for that american v8 idle, its never gonna happen.

Sounds like you want what most of us strive for. The sound of an engine larger and move powerful than our little V6 really is on the budget of an out of work professional bag boy.

if u saw my first post. I said, I had a y-pipe and the resonator was removed. And I have heard better sounds out of our VQs that is were I am confused. I am going back to him tomorrow to see what he can do when he gets back.

No offense coremax, but without the resonator it will sound ricey. If you want really loud run straight pipes with a 3 inch exhaust. But thats just crazy. You could do a 3 inch WSP y and B, and then a magnaflow mufler, race series if you need it really loud. I like loud but there are going to be times you want to hear the music in your car or hold a conversation so just keep that in mind.

Why do you laugh, some of us actually do like to make an impression. With the right tone muffler there is no limit to how loud it could be. As long as you stay away from the rice sound, buzz cans, then loud is good in my book. Im gunna have to guess your older than us because no young person would have anything negative to say about loud exhausts.
