Auto Climate Control Lighting Issue

Hey guys. I'm trying figure out why my lights do not all work in the a/c head unit. The words "AUTO, OFF, ECON, MODE", & the symbols for defrost and recirculate do not light up. I believe the 4 bulbs in the circuit board light them up. I have replaced the head unit (for other reasons) and the lights still do not work. I haven't found a bad fuse and I can not find a schematic on it. Has anybody had this problem and does anyone know the answer?
THANKS

it's very common for these bulbs to go out. they can blow when removing or replacing the head unit, for example. I think they cost like $4-$6 each at the dealership, but some people have gotten similar (but significantly less expensive) bulbs from radio shack to fit with minor modification. if you don't want to be bothered with converting to LEDs, take out one bulb, bring it to radio shack and match it up. I had the same problem after I replaced my Bose headunit with Pioneer.
I bought new bulbs for $4 each at the stealership and after a few months the gradually died one by one , so only one of them works now. I think it's a grounding issue of the Pioneer. I should have grounded the wire far away from the climate control.
These lights don't bother me so much, I can press all buttons with my eyes closed so I just left it like this. Once I have time I will look in radioshack.
