97-99 Red/Clears on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...spagenameZWDVW

Anybody had experience w/ this seller or bought these exact red/clears? I tried to do mine on my own and did the left one successfully but screwed up the right one so I'm wondering if I should just buy an outer right replacement and do it myself or just buy a set of red/clears already made...

So anyone have these exact red/clears? Thanks in advance!

gonna buy some also.. I did mine look great but cracked the edges on both lights when prying them apart from the oven. I heard the outters from ebay are a slighty differnet color then the oems.... Best bet if you buy them from ebay get both inners, and outters, or just get OEM outters in your case the OEM right now.....

Just buy the ebay ones. Look a LOT better than homemade and the set will cost as much as an oem replacement anyway.

I bought those exact ones, here they are with OEM inners:

Wow yea those do look good...

I can get an outer tail for like $10 shipped so I'm gonna try one more time and be more careful, then if I fail again I'll buy the eBay ones...

I actually like the way the homemade ones look, I like how they wrap around all the way instead of having that 3rd reflector on the outside...

i bought an inner/outer set on ebay (tinted). i have also bought cm r/c, and made my own. if you are detail oriented the inner/outer set is the way to go because the plastic reflector pieces will match perfectly.

I bought those tails and if not those then exactly the same looking ones from a different ebayer. I am pretty sure that they are all the same anyways. I have 2 issues with them:

1) The clear lens on the outers is lighter than the stock inners. This may be due to the fact that the glass on the stocks has become permanently stained but there is a difference. Actually, if you look at the pic posted above you can see the lighting difference.

2) One of the tails has a slight fitment issue. It connects fine but the light doesn't completely touch the body on the side. Its really a tiny flaw that you cant notice unless you are looking for it.

I dont think those red reflectors matter for inspection purposes. The important thing is that the tails have the DOE serial on them. The ebay ones do; at least the ones I bought that is.
