New tires

I just got Khumo's low profile tires from my friend. But the size of those tires are 205/50/15 compared to the 215/60/15 stock tires. How much should I expect for my guage to be off and is there any way to fix it? And does it change the performance of the car in any negative way? Thanks for the help guys.

Stock tires on my I30 was 205/65-15. Your 216/60-15 is a 1% under size but the 205/50-15 is 10% under size. I think this will be too small.

Performance is better but your speedo will be off 10%.

would 205/50 16's work? Or would there also be a significant difference in speedo? I have a mounted set of Falken's on old Sparco Racing wheels that I wanna throw on my 98 maxima, they came off my GVR4. TIA John

Well honestly i don't feel any less comfort when driving with these tires and the car does pick up much better, definently from the start. But yeah now my speedometer is off by 10mph, is there anyway to fix that because its really hard to do math, look at the road, and make sure i don't get pulled over at 6am when im barely alert heh.

edit: Plus i got all 4 tires from a friend that weren't used at all, just for $120 for the set.

No there isn't an easy way to fix the speedo calibration.

10% isn't THAT hard. 33=30mph, 55=50mph, 77=70mph.

No. It will still be a gain. It's like putting in a tall final drive gear.

Here's a tire size calculator to see the difference.
