You posted some great pictures, but I'm a little confused. I am in the process of getting my '96 GLE ready for inspection and emissions. Had been getting a knock sensor code thrown, so I just replaced that. What a ***** (did it without removing the intake).

Anyway, some of the threads mention the canister to be behind the driver's rear wheel, by that black box. You mention it to be right on top of the manifold.

Can you clarify this, and give me the best, cheapest advice on replacing/repairing it.
