Since ID makes the most parts for the 4th gen, can someone chime in about the quality? Brittle? Lots of prep required? Good fit? Thinking of buying the I35 kit for my car next month and would like some feedback about their work.

 

Its fiberglass. And to me its cheap
Personally I didn't like how it looks on the 4th gen. So now I am saveing for the rest of the Stillen kit.

First of all if you dont have experience with there parts you shouldnt post. Your just talking out of your @ss and its all hear say from other members. I dont understand why people post just to posts.
Second they have two different types of kits, one of which looks exactly like the Stillen kit and the fitment is great.
What you need to save up for is painting that front lip.

Now to the OP,
They do make CF items that are reinforced with FG that are brittle and fragile dueto being backed by the FG. However they also make a FRP kit that is extremly flexible, just as flexible as a Poly piece.

 

So their standard fiberglass stuff is pretty good then I gather. Thanks for the feedback.

 

Yes, and fitment has always been really good with there items. bare in mind, FG is FG and if you bang it its either going to crack or shatter. Even if it were poly, if you bang it, its going to flex and ruin the paint.
The thing to remeber is that you have to take care with kits. With them being so low to the ground there always going to be subject to damage if your not carefull. If you cannot drive carefully without damaging it, then you shouldnt get a kit.
Its the same principal as wheels. You wouldnt purposely hit large potholes if your were on some low profile tires with wheels that had a nice finished lip.

 

just don't hit anything. stillen fits and looks better, although more expensive...
