Are these headlights worth $200?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=010
Ok so heres the deal, im repainting my gold SE and i figured i might as well spruce up the exterior a bit while im at it. Im thinking of doing black headlights and bumper lights. Also im going to do some black rims of some sort.

Also i had a question of smoking my tails. My sister had this sort of plastic cover over her firebirds tails that was smoke colored. Now i know we dont have that for our cars but can the whole tail light be smoked? Not just the clear and amber parts, i mean the whole thing. Just spray it or do i need to do something particular to make the lights brighter for that?

yea i think they are pretty sweet. 200 bux is a bit steep, but then again my experience with headlights is minimal. how do you think it will look with a gold body? you have any other black exterior mods on there that it would go with??

i think they look cool but i hear light output isnt that great from them. ive never had them tho. 200 aint bad since you are getting the corners too. i dont think you are gonna find them for any cheaper than off of ebay.

The light output BLOWS!! Lighting-wise, you'd be happier with stock headlights and hid kit. BUT if you like the look of them, its a good deal cuz the bumper lights are included for the price.

For the tails, use VHT NightShades. It works GREAT, just throw a coat or two of clear after the fact and maybe lightly sand with a 400,000 grit sandpaper! LoL You dont HAVE to brighten the lights, but you CAN!

Like the poster above me said, the light output is terrible. I would stay away unless you were going to do a retrofit on them.

I got em, light output does suck, picture your typical output LINE from regular headlights, then picture the actual LINE turning into a big W shaped flying bat looking output lol. Didn't bother me much since I drive in NYC, lots of street lighting as it is. The cosmetic factor is awesome though, I just upgraded the bulbs to HIDS to give it some functionality. The output is drastically better with HIDS, just need to be aimed higher and the W is still there. Definitely asking to be retro'ed tho..

ive got them but mine didn't come with the damn 50 dollar bumper lights i also bought, i got mine last year and with my r34 bodykit, they look badass, only problem is i got my bumper lights in and realized, hey the r34 bodykit has no place to put bumper lights so i wired the small bumper light with the 194 bulb in it and glued it in the bumper support so ill have turn signals!!! lol, but ya i would get them thay are badass and i think the light output is amazing if you adjust them right

don't put those on a gold car. Order the AE lights from ebay. It's like 110. they are much better choice. I'm going to order those for my gold max.

You can't go wrong with 1 piece headlights. I think they look better than the 2 peice stock look. Also since they're including the bumper smoked lights it will go good. About light output i'm not sure how it is b/cuz from the first day i got em i started on my retro-fit. My 2 cents

I had them for a couple of months and then sold them. The one piece design looks great but I couldn't get used to the black housing with my color. As mentioned the output of the low beams is pretty damn bad, high beams are alright though.

Just an FYI, throw some extra sealant on those bumper lights if you get them. I had those also and one fogged up after like 3 weeks.

Worth it if you HID it or retro it. Unless you really dont mind crappy output.

RETROFIT is the only good thing for that light.. putting in HID gives you same horrible light output... only it will be with a brighter bulb..

Yeah, I know that, but you can still see better. Also, in theory more light means more reflection, more diffraction around corners, so its possible that the W isn't as defined...just theoretical.

Like I said, a retro is the best, but if you cant or don't want to, at least get HIDs.

i have the pnp kit also on mine, the out put is great if you adjust the housing with the screw in back and on one i had to put washers between the headlight screw and the mounting panel b/c it wouldn't adjust enout, i love these kind of headlights

on ebay i saw the black housing headlights that are like the stock ones. They might turn out better, or just paint yours. good deal with the corners though

I vote Not - heres why

200 Bones + a quality kit to make it look good = a whole retro +/-...

Save the money for Projectors, you'll be happy

(maxima E55's /w Lexus Denso Ballasts)

To tha gray Max ^^^^ Hot! sideskirts ++1
