It's either you guys have no life or you're all extremely rich and have nothing better to do than to slander a 17 year old trying to make due without spending a great deal of money.
my apologies for that, but I don't need a bunch of low live's enjoying themselves too much on here. go get drunk or something if you want to attain the same amount of joy you all seem to get from my 'choise.'

Now seriously guys go try this mod. I seriously gained like 35hp, and 38lb torque.

you stfu. you've already made three amazing witticisms about my almighty decesion, and now you've come back for a fourth. You, of all people, have no right to talk. You talk to him as if you're **** don't stink and you're 20 years older than him. Let's have a reality check here...you're only 19 years old compared to his 16, and you're preaching that he has a lot to learn in life? Go somewhere else.

don't feel bad bro, most ppl on the .org are a lil older and have a more refined sense of style. they are also not afraid to crush somebody for trying something that doesn't turn out great. my best advice is listen and learn, you'll be better for it. something that looks good on a civic might not look great on a maxima, but if you step your game up you'll have a nicer (not ricer) car than most ppl your age. i don't think anyone on here can say they haven't ever done , or at least thought of doing, something that turned out whack. and those vents really do look bad, but check this out... it was bad execution of a good idea. why else would so many ppl even looked in the thread?
well thank you very much sir. actually everyone in my school believes I have the nicest car out of everyone (no one has seen the vents yet). Personally, i think kids my age at my school will like the vents...now that's a different story for people around here. I know you guys aren't into the ricer stuff and I too hate to see a civic with twenty different colored body panels with a 5 inch diameter muffler. Yet, I'm still a kid and whenever I watch fast and furious, I can't help but picture that r33 body kit on my maxima. I can't help it, but I respect what you guys are into and I hope that you'd respect what I'm kinda into.
btw, some of those jokes were pretty good, but for the people that came back for seconds and thirds..no thanks.

man i grew up WITH rice. civics and integras were the s**t. fart cans, vinyl graphics, and big wings owned. but when i finally got a car i had done so much research that i moved on to jdm which was not as hot back then. half the ppl on this board were so hype on the maxima in 2f2f when it came out.
check out cardomain.com. look through cars until your eyes bleed. you'll see good and bad, and pretty soon you'll know that there really is a right and a wrong way. not to do any car, but to do a max. what looks good on some cars looks awful on others.

AND so it begins... leave the poor guy alone... i know all of you thought about the electric supercharger once... = ) dont LIE.. hehhee...
and shissqbob dont mind these guys/girls.. there just pulling your leg. and your rite it is your CHOICE.... come over to the infiniti section.. were alot more civilized there..

and what is this you CT guys post in packs or something.. all of a sudden the CT people started posting.. one after another... did you guys call each other and plan this..? hehe
P.S shissqbob race based jokes are only funny and to be made only if your making them about yourself or someone VERY CLOSE to you in a comic way with people who you know are not sensitive to it.. so none of that asians like rice stuff... although there is a demographical reason for rice. due to it being high in carbs, it provides excellent nourishment in the old days for individuals who were working/living in areas where high temperature conditions along with heavy work caused constant need for high energy foods. over time it evolved into a traditional dish.
remember when you were young. im sure you did some stupid **** to your cars. all that matters is is a maxima and he likes it. everyone here has there own idea on how there car should look .how would it feel if the stuff you did on your car everyone else did the same exact thing the same exact way. then it would be your "custom" maxima it would be "factory". i dunno maybe im just sayin this cause i got ripped apart on one of my threads but still its his max and he should do what he likes. regardless if it looks like ****. ill admite i saw them at pep boys and thought what would they look like on my max but i would make them fuctonal and probley mold them in but then i remebered im sell my max and i dont want to do anything that would hurt the value any more. it already looks stupid because i riced it out i guess you could say
Logically thinking you did the best and cost effective thing to do, to try and cover up the damages to the hood.
Do you have a picture of the hood before the installation? I'm curious as to how obvious they were. You know somethings are more obvious to you cause you know its there and stare right at it, but the person next to you might barely notice it.
I was somewhat in the same situation before, i hit a deer so my hood wasnt as easily fixable as yours but, I had some options that might have compromised the look of my car, but I ended up using some of my refund check from school at the time and got a CF hood.
Your 17 and coming up with $400 for a CF hood might take a while, and saving up for a OEM hood ($100-$250 from a junk yard) plus paint (maybe $100) isn't as easy either.
at the end of the day as long as you like it, that what counts.

thanks mdeezy for such a humane comment. on the other hand, I personally don't love what I did, I only think it looks decent. It'd go a lot better if they were painted sterling mist and they'd blend a little better also, so maybe i'll give that a try.
hood vents
I like the concept...I'm toying with the same idea...but mine will be bigger and longer. I'll be using functional 1986 mecedes benz hood vents, also from ebay....would have been nice to see close up pics...btw, only 1 pic was view-able.
I installed these two fake hood vents (supposed to be for the side but looked decent on top) on my hood. Why...you may ask? Well the knucklehead who owned the car before me successfully shut the hood on some tool he had and created two nice raises in the hood as you can see below. The paint was chipped so you could see the bare metal and it was an eye sore...

Instead of getting the dent repair and the whole hood repainted, I decided to get these off ebay for 15 bucks. I wanted to avoid the co$tly repairs and wanted to take a chance. I figured if i messed this up i'd go with the cf hood. As you can see from the pictures below, I believe i creatively covered the imperfection up, and i do believe it will flow 100% better when I put mesh behind the front bumper cover openings and also make my all mesh grill. Let me know what you think...(i know there will be bashing--hood vents on a family sedan??)
