Mine's pretty mellow, too....

And I like my tip:

Sorry, couldn't resist the cheap shot - that's a complete 3" Warpspeed exhaust. Glad to see you're making your Maxima a better car.

lol i thought that looked like 3 inch... Yeah i jsut got 2.5.

And as far as the tip goes whats the problem its jsut so it has a nice finish to it and no it isnt huge its only 3.5 so its barely larger then the 2.5 piping seems to me that it fills the cutout for it quite well.

They were trying to give me a 4.5 tip and i was like no this is not a civic u must be confused...

Which is needed why? Your not boosted are you? If its to aid with the Nitrous why not just get a cutout?
Is running with 3 inch really giving you noticable gains?

Yes, it does. Better flow is required for better go. Works for me.

Im not saying anything bad. I just thought that if you put 3 inch piping on a n/a motor its not good. And that 3 inch is only good for s/c or turbo.

new oem stock catback on my 3.5. quiet as ****, wouldnt have it any other way.

exhaust looks like a nice system though. is it that loud and droning on the highway? post some video clips i wanna see how loud it is. i always consider comfort over performance with exhausts. comfort > 5hp IMO. i kind of want something a bit less restrictive, trying to see whats out there. i highly despise loud exhausts. might just go with a cutout for the track.

Exactly, now when spraying yes it should help but driving around daily with the 3" on an NA motor really cant be helping out that much from what Ive always heard. Ive always heard it actually hurts performance on NA vehicles. Im boosted and have a cutout. With the cutout open and drving around in low RPMS, not making any real boost, it feels a bit sluggish but when I punch it and the RPMS climb it pulls really good, nice and smooth. Much better then with just the 2.5 catback. Ive been debating the 3" catback but Ive heard its loud and that the quality of the mufflers paired with the Warpspeed setup arent the best. Cattman is checking interests on 3" setups which would be really nice quality being that its cattman but I just dont have the funds for that when the cutout seems to be working for me. Maybe if I were Turboed.
But IDK, I dont own a 3" setup so IDK first hand about them.

That 13.158 time slip is nice, very nice no denying that. Was that with the 3" catback? that was spraying right?
How does daily driving with the 3" catback on the motor feel?

Yeah, I've got a bunch of 13.2 and 13.3s to go along with that - the 3" exhaust system sure helps - street or strip.

Depends on what you want out of your car, I guess. I drove to Warpspeed early one morning, they built the entire system onto my car, and I drove home the same day. About 600 miles of driving and $850 - best exhaust investment I ever made.

I don't care about "quiet on the street" - I wanted to lay the groundwork for strip performance, and that seems to work. Daily driving is just fine, including long trips - i like the rumble of power that goes with it - nothing ricey about my exhaust - and my new OBX header conversion sounds even better. If you want quiet, stay off the strip.

Customized Ingen intake, lots of nitrous, lots of spark, a well-mannered MEVI, a custom-controlled VLSD automatic, and real slicks on real wheels. Your engine has to breathe if you want to perform. All of it.

I got the slips.....

Here's a turbo Neon for lunch:

.
Now I'm not putting down the OP guy - you gotta start somewhere when you do exhaust mods - just don't believe all the stories - if you want performance, it's gotta breathe - IN and OUT.....
