Resonator is a part of the b-pipe, you'll have to get a new one or just get a resonator and have it welded on.

Just go to an exhaust shop they can weld it in line with your bpipe right now.

Ye i know it needs welding but where do i get the resonator. Everytime i search for one i only fine those cheap "hi flow cats". I've heard magnaflow sell some but i have never seen them sold anywhere, or even advertised on there website. Right now im a little desperate because school starts in 3 days and im gunna look like an idiot without a resonator.

well that depends what u wanna do... how is the rest of the exhaust looking?? it it looks bad or like it needs to be replaced soon what i would do is replace the whole thing..

the reason i say that is because ur not gonna find the resonator anywhere without the b pipe... you could get a magnaflow resonator the call it a muffler its like 27 inches long i have it on my car with a stock muffler and it sounds like stock.. it is real big though...

this is the part number from magnaflow that i have.. 12640
best place to get it is on www.performancepeddler.com its like 75 bucks.. shipped..

Either of those, I have used them personally on many of my friends maximas and it is a great resonator for the price. It's gonna be hard to have it quiet like the stock resonator though.

Hmm, i'll try a cherry bomb style muffler, but if it doesnt get rid of the ricey sound i'll just put on a different muffler. The magnaflow looks way to fat, gunna muffle it down too much. i think the glasspacks available through jegs or summit are more what i need.

Yea, if you don't buy the ones I linked, just make sure you buy one that is perforated core.

I have the 2.5" version on my car (and had the 2.25" version at one point) and it's a great resonator.

Setup1: Warpspeed ypipe custom bpipe, magnaflow muffler = the resonator took the raspy sound away and reduced the drone, it still droned from 1800-2200 like most maximas do with a full exhaust.

Setup2: Cattman ypipe, warpspeed bpipe, 00muffler. The warpseed bpipe came with a louvered core resonator and that is why I got him to put this resonator on. No drone, no raspyness. Sounds exactly like my setup(budget y and bpipe with magnaflow resonator and 00muffler)
