Pics of my tinted tails plus ques on how to remove VHT Nightshades?

Sorry guys I know it not really 4th gen related but I just cannot find anything about how to remove this stuff. But it on my max tails n I wanna remove it. I got it way to dark exspecially backing out at night. God talk about cant see.

But anyway does anyone know how to get it off? I dont think I want it this dark.

Give me some opinions of what you think about it. I just hate how the turn signals arent that bright during the day. Im sure ppl cant see it. It not really bam type of flash at you. And backing out at night Im completely backing out blinded. 20% tint plus tinted tails doesnt help you back out.

I think you can use paint thinner but I'm not 100% sure.

DO NOT use paint thinner unless you want to melt your tail lights. I got niteshades off using alcohol and A LOT of rubbing. My friend did one of them for me and I think he used a buffing machine or something.

Well this sucks. There no simple way to remove it? It def dried alot darker then when I put it on.

I got some bumper lights with the tint on it so guess ill get some rubbing alcohol and see if I can get it off or what not.

you can try to wetsand then polish it out, that'll cut down on the VHT significantly.

I used a product called Goof Off and it came off easily. I found it at my local hardware store. I'd look for something like this before you try sanding it. It really was easy to take off.

You can also try using nail polish remover. You'll have to sit there and rub for a bit but it will work

Is mineral spirits the same as paint thinner? If not, I would try that, but clean it off right away with a degreaser or simple green....I use simple green for almost everything.

EXACTLY!
Ive tinted two sets of tails now so Ive experimented with dfferent levels of tint, and the best way to remove it is to wetsand, and buff them with a plastic polish. You will be able to get a nice shine from them.
I use grits from 800-1000,-2000.... and lots of water.

I know brake cleaner fluid takes paint off when it's not completely dry, can it be used once it's dry and can that be used here?

Well I got all the nightshades off. I used some Brakleen. It was some that was safe for plastics. It comes in a green can if anyone is wondering.

It worked wonderful. Took it right off. So easy.

Nice work, MXrider52. I got mine off by sanding it, I wish I knew about that.

Anyone want to photoshop the Black/Clears into this picture? It seems like a neat mod for a black 4th gen...
