Dragging noise when brake is applied

Whenever I brake on my '95 Maxima, I hear some dragging noise that comes from bottom or rear of the car. I checked my back tires and found nothing. The noise sounds like I'm dragging something. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Have you changed the rear brakes lately? Could it be the metal part that rubs when the pads are low?

I thought brake squeaks when it it down to the minimum. But in my case, my car feels like its dragging something and it makes some deep noise but def. not sqeaky noise.

When your rear pads are gone it will cause a scraping noise not sqeaking, at least that was my experience. Bet you need new pads.

Have you removed the wheels and inspect the brakes closely? Pay attention to the inside pads and rotor surface, which cannot be inspected without removing the wheels.

I would pull the wheel and unbolt the caliper for a much closer look.

Generally the wear indicators make noise when you're not braking, and get quiet when your'e on the brakes. If you don't notice this and wear thru to the pad backing bad noise will happen when you're braking too.
