so my check engine light came on in my 99 max....
and i went to the sticky on how to diagnosis it (SP) and my ECU looks diff from the one in the example..the one in the example says somethin about changing idle setting...it doesnt say diagnosis check or whatever and the little screw to turn looks different than the one in the example
so whats the deal?
so whats the deal?
The ecu design changed for the 99 model year and thus the procedure to check the codes manually also changed. if u r in the US i suggest going to autozone to get ur codes scanned, i think they do it for free
if not then go to the dealer and pay money to get it scanned or buy your own obd2 scanner.
i do not know the procedure for manually checking the codes on your 99
