which ones got ECT's and who dosen't..
I know that the '98 Gxe dosen't.. not sure about the rest...
This would cause a serious performance problem.. And why am I still a newbe.. I've been on the fourm for a while...

All 4Gen Maximas equipped with automatic transmissions have electronically controlled transmissions. The controller is called the Transmission Control Module and it is located in the passenger cabin under the center console, adjacent to the Body Control Module.
