Hi all!!

Recently I was driving my 97 Maxima, and I noticed that the needle on the tachometer isn't moving smoothly. Like usually if I stopped at a light the rpms would be below 1k. That's normal, but when I start to drive again the needle would start to move to 1500, then just gets stuck there...then jump to 2k and so forth. If I leave the car off for about 1hr the needle would move smoothly again! Once in awhile it would do this, but now the speedo is doing it too, can any1 tell me how to fix this....its driving me insane!! I already took the dash out to see if the needles were getting stuck, but its not. Someone help me plz!!
