nitrous.. is there a reason not to use a wet shot?
Ok, nitrous oxide doesnt burn, it supplies extra oxygen so extra fuel can be burned. Dry setup = Nitrous + hot manifold = no big deal. Wet kit = nitrous + fuel + hot manifold = possible explosion in the intake manifold. This would be bad.
How about this for a wet shot...?
I have a buddy at work who claims he watched a drag race where someone was testing an engine running on LOX (liquid oxygen). Apparently the guy was an aeronautical engineer, or something. Anyway, my buddy claims the car ran REAL GOOD for about 2 seconds, at which point the crank exited the engine right through the side of the block, cutting the block half in two! One of the spectators tried to pick it up off the ground -- bare-handed -- and (sizzle!) put it right back down on the ground... Hahahahahahahahaha... :-)
