Just looking for some constructive criticism on my new colder air intake haha... I am beginning to wonder if its a hot air intake. All I did was route the intake to down beside the tranny, since I now have a big hole where the automatic (much larger in size) used to take up... I left the bottom cover panel off, so the intake can just suck all the fresh air from under the car now.

Intake sounds better, a little more growl, a little throatier..

Performance wise, I can't really tell a dif, I feel like if anything it could be hurting... any ideas? Is it b/c of the sharp turn coming off the pipe(I could turn my battery and have a wider turn), or is it b/c of the friction of the bumpy pipe rather then a flat rubber tube... ? Any ideas?

No MAF?

Sorry, I can't comment on your gains, because I have no intake experience, but I did notice that your MAF is gone (or am I having another stroke?)? I thought the MAF was essential, no?

MAF

The maf is still attached to the intake, which is down out of sight - actually if you look verry closely you can start the see the black part of the black MAF at the lower end of the pipe...

judging from the looks of it and its location i'd definetly have to say it's not helpful, sharp corners, cheap pipe, and it's too close to the ground with NO cover plate on. your gonna suck up water and everything else, not good. get a WSP CAI or put your pop back.
